He is a Clone Wars fanatic and we figured this would help get him into reading the hands on a clock better than relying on digital numbers. The fact that it's also a LEGO clone is icing on the cake, very fun! The watch has adjustable links so as he grows the watch can grow with him; totally worth the money.

Our son still carries around the disc because he likes the picture, but we couldn't even put on a different band because of the way the watch is made. Jean : Lego Kids' 9002922 Star Wars Storm Trooper Watch. I purchased this product for my grandson and while the look of it was attractive, I was very disappointed in the construction of the product. When it is put together, which you have to do yourself since the wrist band of the watch is "Legos" the watch does not stay together. My grandson had it on his wrist for 5 minutes and when just waving his arm the watch fell off. The lego closure does not hold and therefore cannot be worn for very long especially when a child is going to play while wearing it. Not an advisable suitable purchase for a child at all.

Stacie : I bought this on Dec. 05 and I received it today on the 08th. I am a huge fan of fast shipping. I didn't read the description, I just knew that I wanted to purchase the Storm Trooper watch to trick my boyfriend(he is getting a citizen watch). He and I both love Starwars. When I opened the box, I was super excited that it came with more spare links, a different bezel, and a cute mini figure of a storm trooper! I don't expect him to wear this, because I don't think durability wise it isn't going to meet its expectations. I mainly wanted this as a gift to trick him, but if he wears it then that's great too. :)

AG : I got this watch for my 8 year old son. I did not expect the watch would show the real time. Therefore, we both were pleased. My son got a good toy to spend time with, and he studies the time at the same moment. Amazing learning thing and a toy. He wears it every day. If the watch strap is adjusted properly it does not fall off the wrist easily. We bought them about a month ago and they are still ticking...which is why I took off one star, I just do not know how long the watch mechanism will last.

Alvie "alvie_singer" (Napa, CA USA) : My son loves legos. And I'd like to teach him how to tell time. Perfect combo, right?

Well, while the lego part was set this watch isn't a perfect "learner's" timepiece.

First: On the Luke Skywalker version some of the numbers aren't there (this isn't the case on all models). The image takes the forefront & 6-9 aren't included. This is fine if you can tell time already but it's not if you're 5 & still learning.

Second: the actual links & clasp are simply the usual lego "clicks". I'm not sure how long they'll hold up.

That said, my son now wants to learn to tell time & it only cost $17 so if it dies or goes missing in a month it won't be the biggest loss ever.

Vampire D : I bought this watch a little over a year ago and have gone threw 3 batteries. It still has the same problem time slows down on the watch in days of changing the battery. I contacted the company and they were no assistance. All i was told we wont fix battery issues.When it is obviously not a battery issue. I would not suggest this for anyone since the watch could start loosing time is months. I love star wars and the look but want to tell time, then your out of luck.

The seller was Target and the shipping was awful. Paid for expedited shipping and it took 11 days to get to us. Awful. I have since found it available in certain ToysRUs locations. I suggest going there unless you like to wait.

However, the way the watch band interlocks to stay on the wrist is not secure enough - it easily comes apart. I assume the maker wanted to make it easy for kids to take on and off but, instead, I am always worried it will fall off.

pete02 : This was a gift for a 5 yr old boy who loves Lego. It arrived in a timely fashion in good condition. He had originally wanted a watch but never expected a Lego watch. I think it now became part of his collection as opposed to something he can use but either way he's happy.

My son used his birthday and holiday gift certificates (thank you grandparents!) and he chose two Lego sets and this watch. As much as he loves the Legos, he is absolutely thrilled with the watch and mini-figure Luke. Even the little details are great (The Luke figure has a flesh hand and a gloved/mechanical hand for example).

We did have to help him a little with the set up--adjusting the pieces of the watch band and setting the initial time, which was no problem. This is a GREAT item!

it was cut out of newsprint. When the gift was open several people said "is it a real watch?" or "does it actually work?" and doubted it because it appeared to be make believe. The box has "6 yrs+" printed on it. I bought it as a gift for a 12 year old Lego fan and was rather embarrassed to give it to him once I saw how "little kid" it looked rather than "classic Lego" as I'd hoped. Couldn't return it because I needed the gift the day it arrived. Probably OK for younger kids who want to know what time it is.

Adults, also enjoyed the watch and am pretty certain I was a walking ad for Lego. Making a band exactly the size and color combination is a plus. The light weight in hot weather was great. It started many conversations when I would be shopping and I met many interesting people. The clasp broke and I contacted Lego and they sent me a new one at no price. The reason for the 4 instead of a 5 is you can't replace battery. I tried but failed but it lasted for a very long time so is a minor complaint. At such a low price I will replace it unless someone in the family puts one under the Christmas tree for me.

Linda Wong (Fremont, CA) : I like the fact that this is not just a boyish or girl-ly color and can use that as an education toys for kid. It is great that comes with toys, too. I recently bought couple for my friends' kids (3 and 4 years old)and they love them. Good way to teach numbers and time. I am not sure about it the watch last for a long time or being extremely accurate. The reality is for $15, I get an education toy for a child. No compliants at all.

P. ScottI thought this was cute. My only problem is that nowhere did in see that it is for ages 6 and up. I got it for a little 3-4 year old. I wish the "for ages6+" was shown more clearly. Zenora Lala : Jack and Trace both love these LEGO watches we gave them for their birthday in June (they are twins). Jack's broke after about an hour, and we were with him at the table. I think the manufacurer had not snapped it fully shut perhaps. But it truly was defective and not the result of abuse. We sent it back and within 6 days got a replacement AND our ship costs back. Superb. We have no idea if these are generally sturdy or problematic but after a couple of months now of both boys enjoying their watches we've had no further problems and the watches actually keep time EXTREMELY WELL without a lot of weekly or monthly adjusting so far.

Katy (CO United States) : I bought this watch for my 7 year old lego-maniac. He was excited to put it together in various patterns, but only wore the watch once. (He's worn other standard watches before, so it wasn't the "new" watch syndrome.) After wearing it to school, he came home and said it rubbed and pinched his skin. He didn't have any marks, so I assume it was just an irritant. I'd recommend the watch as a novelty, but don't expect your child to wear it for long periods of time. On the positive, it is very sturdy and holds together nicely, the quality one would expect from a Lego product is definitely there.

Lala : If you're giving it to a kid, it probably is too flimsy if they're the klutzy, oblivious type. It's more novelty than anything else -- it's not going to be the most durable watch out there. I don't think it'll last a year on a child's wrist. But if they already have so many Legos you can't buy them anymore, they'll probably like this (and I'm betting so will anyone else you buy it for).

Scott Kimber (Utah) : Not because it's 30 meters water-proof, not because it has a Swiss Quartz , not because it has a solid gold band is this the best watch I've ever had. The reason it is the best watch I ever had is because it keeps perfect time, and because, at the age of 57, it has given me more fun and laughs for a few bucks than many things in my life for which I paid much more. I bought one for an 80-yr-old friend's birthday, and she too loves, laughs and wears it all the time.

Homeward Bound : As for the watch, I'm happy with it. Mine was $14 from Amazon. I'm careful with it, though it has gotten a bit of splashing quite a number of times. Still it's perfect. I've had mine almost a year, wear it a lot, and am buying yet another for my 5-year-old grandson, who is in his dad's second wedding soon. They are wearing Star Wars tuxedos, and I imagine this lego watch will be part of his wedding gear.

It's seemingly universally liked. It's a fun, colorful watch, and if it breaks? Hey, it was $14. It had a good run.

smele (Florida) : I've had this for about a year and it's still ticking just fine. It's never let me down. The clasp works fine, most of the time. Sometimes it's come loose for no reason. One of the yellow connecty parts it came with doesn't like to connect so I have to use another color, but that's OK.

Manzanita "Nature Nerd" (Sierra Vista, Arizona USA) : My 5-year old grandson was thrilled that I got him this watch for Christmas; however, 8 days later one of the hands fell off, not due to rough treatment. It is a cute watch but the lack of durability is very disappointing.

Dr. P : I purchased this lego watch for my nephew who just turned five. He loves it ! Wears it every day and is interested in learning to tell time. You can add and remove pieces to adjust the size of the wrist band. You can change the ring around the clock. This is a fun and cheerful watch for kids.

Rose Prose "Pat" (TO) : Unfortunately, these watches sold out so quickly in stores that I never got to see the watch band material or latch -- only the appropriate watch face/case are showing in the box. Looking at the photo, one would never guess that the band would fall to pieces literally almost every time a child tries to wear it. It even falls apart during assembly. The entire design needs to be reworked with an eye to improving the quality. This kind of plastic is too brittle and breakable to use for a watch band/latch. I was embarrassed when the child I gave it to for Christmas dumped the parts out on the table in front of me and asked me to assemble it with him. I wished I had given him something else.

F. Gordon : the watch itself is fine so far, I have owned it for only a month or two. The bad thing is that the band falls apart so easily, that it is a real hassle. I have had to throw the band away and use a ribbon as the band and that is much better. So be warned.
Unfortunately after a month it stopped working. I would now give it one star but I don't seem to be able to change that.

Joyce D. (Arlington, TX) : This was a gift for a lady in her 70s who admired mine (lady in her 60s). I'm on my 5th or 6th one over the past 10 years or more. First two were bought for my nieces . . . but I kept them for myself. They never cease to cause attention. Once at a crafts fair, someone remembered me from the previous year because of the watch. They're fun, they fit all size wrists, all-plastic causes no allergic reactions, and they bring out the inner child in us all. The only negative is that Lego used to make it with a bigger face. And after you've lost a few of them, you end up with enough spare parts to go really color creative. Amazon has the best price of anywhere too.

That's basically it. I think this must cost like $3 to make, and it feels like a $3 cheap toy, sadly.
